Booking & Policies

How can I make a reservation?

In addition to our official booking page, you can also make reservations via Booking.com and Airbnb. Please feel free to contact us if you have any questions before booking.

What payment methods do you accept?

Online credit card payment is accepted at the time of booking. You can pay with cash or credit card at the location.

What is your cancellation policy?

Our cancellation policy may vary depending on your booking. Please refer to the booking page or your reservation confirmation for details.

Can I contact you if I have questions before my stay?

Absolutely. If you have any questions before your stay, please don’t hesitate to contact us. We’ll be happy to help you prepare for your trip.

Do you have English-speaking staff?

We are not fluent in English, but we are happy to assist international guests using translation tools when needed.

What time are check-in and check-out?

Check-in: From 2:00 PM

Check-out: By 10:00 AM

Please let us know your expected check-in time via message in advance.

Is free Wi-Fi available?

Yes. Free Wi-Fi is available in each cottage.

What amenities are provided?

Each cottage is equipped with amenities such as shampoo, conditioner, body soap, a hair dryer, towels, and toothbrushes.

Is the kitchen fully equipped?

Yes. The kitchen includes a refrigerator, microwave, IH cooktop, rice cooker, tableware, cookware, and basic cooking utensils.Please purchase ingredients and seasonings at a supermarket.

Is there a laundry facility?

Yes, the laundry room is equipped with washing machines and dryers.

Can I reserve the private family bath?

Yes. Our private stone-built family bath is available by reservation.

Reservations can be made at reception upon arrival.

Are the cottages heated?

Yes. The cottage is equipped with heating to keep you warm and comfortable throughout your winter stay.

Are cooking seasonings provided?

No. Cooking seasonings such as salt, pepper, and oil are not provided. If you plan to cook during your stay, we recommend purchasing any ingredients and seasonings before arriving in Madarao.

How many guests can stay in one cottage?

Each cottage accommodates up to 6 guests. Please check the room details on our booking page for accommodation options.

Is smoking allowed?

Smoking is not permitted inside the cottages. Please use the designated outdoor smoking area.

Can I stay with my pet?

Unfortunately, pets are not allowed at Dongurimura.

Can I have dinner at Donguritei?

Yes. Dinner is available by reservation only.
Guests can enjoy barbecue, shabu-shabu, Wagyu beef, and other seasonal meals.
We recommend making your reservation in advance.

Are there other restaurants nearby?

Yes.
Several restaurants, cafés, and bars are available around Madarao Kogen.

Can I cook in my cottage?

Yes.
Each cottage includes a kitchen with cooking equipment and tableware.
Please note that ingredients and cooking seasonings are not provided.

Is parking available?

Yes. Free parking is available for all guests staying at Dongurimura.

Do you provide transportation?

Yes. Please see here for more details .

Is a 4WD vehicle necessary in winter?

A 4WD vehicle with winter tires is strongly recommended during the winter season.
Roads around Madarao can be snowy and icy.

Where can I buy groceries?

There are no supermarkets within walking distance of Dongurimura.
We recommend shopping before driving up to Madarao.

Can I stay at Dongurimura without a car?

Yes. It is possible to stay at Dongurimura without a car.
You can reach Madarao by train, airport shuttle, or private transportation services. Once you
arrive in Madarao, restaurants and the ski resort are within easy reach.

How far is the ski resort?

Madarao Mountain Resort is about 3 minutes by car from Dongurimura.
